Answer from 2025 FDD Document

B. YOU select, with OUR approval, the location of YOUR Bee Hive Home. In determining whether to approve any particular site WE will consider things like: analysis of traffic patterns, both vehicular and pedestrian; proximity to grocery or retail stores; population, age and income demographics; and proximity to competing businesses. If YOU are unable to find a location that meets the requirements for a HOME in six months, YOUR franchise agreement will be terminated and any franchise fees paid will be refunded to YOU. Approval by US is not a representation or endorsement to YOU of successful operation of a franchise. WE do not own any premises for lease to franchisees. YOU are responsible for conforming YOUR site to applicable ordinances, codes and zoning. (paragraph 7.1 of the Franchise Agreement)

  • C. The typical length of time between the signing of the Franchise Agreement with the accompanying payment of one-third (1/3) of the initial franchise fee and the opening of YOUR Bee Hive Home can vary greatly, up to 18 months to 30 months. Factors affecting this length of time usually include obtaining a satisfactory location, financing arrangements, finalizing architectural plans conforming with applicable building codes, local zoning and ordinance compliance, permitting, site improvement, construction of the Home and delivery and installation of decor, fixtures and equipment. Healthcare licensing and certification of the Home and employees does not generally cause any significant delays in the process.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beehive Homes Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has six months to find a location that meets the franchisor's requirements. If a suitable location is not secured within this timeframe, the franchise agreement will be terminated. In the event of termination due to failure to find a location, Beehive Homes will refund any franchise fees that were paid.

Beehive Homes must approve the franchisee's selected location. In determining whether to approve a particular site, Beehive Homes will consider factors such as traffic patterns (both vehicular and pedestrian), proximity to grocery or retail stores, population demographics (age and income), and proximity to competing businesses. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring the site conforms to all applicable ordinances, codes, and zoning regulations.

The typical timeframe between signing the Franchise Agreement and opening a Beehive Homes location can range from 18 to 30 months. This duration is influenced by factors such as securing a satisfactory location, arranging financing, finalizing architectural plans to comply with building codes, local zoning and ordinance compliance, obtaining permits, site improvements, construction of the Home, and the delivery and installation of decor, fixtures, and equipment. Healthcare licensing and certification of the Home and employees does not generally cause significant delays in the process.
