The obligations that WE will perform before the opening of YOUR Bee Hive Home are:
(1) to grant a nonexclusive license to YOU to use the trade names, trademarks and service marks of Bee Hive Homes. (paragraph 3.2 of the Franchise Agreement)
(2) to provide YOU with general architectural and design drawings for a Home to submit to YOUR architect for rendering, and to provide YOU with an itemization of all equipment and supplies to be used in the operation of the Home.
It will be YOUR responsibility to engage, at YOUR expense, an architect and an engineer who will prepare the final specifications and drawings, and provided necessary stamps and certifications to be submitted for approval by local government agencies and by the franchisor, all of whom must approve prior to the start of construction.
Upon YOUR request, WE will provide assistance and guidance in negotiating construction, equipment and supply contracts for the construction, furnishing and equipping of the Home.
However, YOU are solely responsible for the terms of all contracts and exercising adequate supervision.
WE do not assist in construction, remodeling or decorating of the site. (paragraph 7.2 of the Franchise Agreement)
(3) to deliver one standard sign conforming with local requirements as to size and style to Franchisee, for installation by Franchisee's contractor. (paragraph 7.3 of the Franchise Agreement)
(4) to provide training, prior to opening the Home for business, in the various practices, policies and procedures for operation of a Bee Hive Home.
YOU and YOUR resident manager are required to complete a training program of up to three (3) days duration at a location designated by US. (paragraph 7.4 of the Franchise Agreement)
- (5) to provide opening supervision to assist YOU in the preparation and opening of the Home.
OUR representative will assist YOU in hiring staff, training personnel, marketing, inventory control and promotional programs in connection with the opening of the Home. (paragraph 7.5 of the Franchise Agreement)

According to the 2025 Beehive Homes Franchise Disclosure Document, Beehive Homes will provide opening supervision to assist franchisees in the preparation and opening of their new location. Specifically, Beehive Homes' obligations before the opening of the Beehive Homes location include providing opening supervision to assist in the preparation and opening of the Home. This assistance includes support from a Beehive Homes representative in hiring staff, training personnel, marketing, inventory control, and promotional programs related to the opening of the new Beehive Homes location.
This opening supervision is one of several forms of assistance Beehive Homes offers to franchisees before they open their location. Other forms of assistance include granting a nonexclusive license to use Beehive Homes' trade names, trademarks, and service marks, providing general architectural and design drawings for the Home, and delivering one standard sign conforming with local requirements.
Beehive Homes also provides a mandatory training program that franchisees and their resident managers must complete no less than one week prior to opening their Beehive Homes location. This training program, which lasts up to three non-consecutive days, covers Home operations and management and provides hands-on experience in all phases of Home operations. While there is no charge for the training program itself, franchisees are responsible for covering the costs of lodging and meals for themselves, as well as travel, lodging, and meals for their resident manager and any other individuals they wish to have trained.
