What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beehive Homes will provide opening supervision to assist franchisees in the preparation and opening of their new Beehive Homes location. A representative from Beehive Homes will assist the franchisee in several key areas, including hiring staff, training personnel, marketing, inventory control, and promotional programs related to the opening of the new location.
Prior to opening their Beehive Homes location, franchisees and their resident manager are required to complete a training program that lasts up to three days at a location designated by Beehive Homes. This training is mandatory and must be completed no less than one week before the location opens. The FDD specifies that Beehive Homes is under the same obligations to provide opening supervision and training, even if a franchisee purchases multiple franchises, unless the franchisee waives this requirement in writing.
While Beehive Homes offers assistance with various aspects of opening, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for certain key tasks. For example, the franchisee is responsible for engaging an architect and engineer to prepare the final specifications and drawings for the building, and for obtaining all necessary approvals from local government agencies and the franchisor before construction can begin. The franchisee is also responsible for conforming their site to applicable ordinances, codes, and zoning regulations.
