What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor, referred to as "US", covers the cost of round trip travel for the franchisee during the initial training program. However, the franchisee is responsible for their own meals and lodging expenses, as well as the travel, meals, and lodging costs for their resident manager. If additional individuals require training beyond the franchisee and resident manager, the franchisee must also cover their travel, meals, and lodging expenses. There is no separate charge for the instruction itself.
This arrangement is fairly typical in the franchise industry, where franchisors often cover the direct costs of training while franchisees bear the costs of travel and accommodation. This division of expenses helps to balance the investment required from both parties. It is important for prospective Beehive Homes franchisees to factor in these additional costs when budgeting for their initial investment.
If a franchisee changes resident managers after the initial training, the new resident manager must undergo training based on the initial training outline. If this training cannot be conducted at the franchisee's Beehive Homes location, a regional service representative from the franchisor will provide the training for a fee of at least $300.00 per day, inclusive. This provides flexibility for franchisees while ensuring that all resident managers receive the necessary training to operate the Beehive Homes business effectively.
