Who must approve advertising content for my Beehive Homes franchise?

Beehive_Homes Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

YOU may and are encouraged to advertise YOUR Home, however, all advertising materials used by YOU must first be approved by the Franchisor and by US.

WE have no advertising council composed of franchisees to advise US on advertising matters.

YOU currently are not required to participate in any local or regional advertising cooperative, nor are YOU required to participate in any other advertising fund.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are encouraged to advertise their homes, but all advertising materials must be approved by both the Franchisor and "US." This requirement ensures that all advertising aligns with the trade dress standards of Beehive Homes.

This approval process is in place to maintain uniformity and consistency in the brand's image. While franchisees are encouraged to market their specific locations, Beehive Homes retains control over the advertising content to ensure it meets their standards. This is a common practice in franchising, where brand consistency is considered crucial for maintaining customer recognition and trust.

Furthermore, the FDD states that any determination made by the franchisee regarding suppliers is subject to review by "US." This indicates that while franchisees can choose suppliers that meet Beehive Homes' specifications, the franchisor ultimately has the final say on whether those suppliers are acceptable. This dual approval requirement extends to advertising content, ensuring that all marketing efforts align with the franchisor's vision and standards.

Prospective franchisees should be aware of this requirement and factor in the time needed for advertising approval when planning marketing campaigns. Understanding the franchisor's specific guidelines and preferences for advertising materials will be essential for a smooth and efficient approval process.
