Is approval of a site by Beehive Homes a guarantee of successful operation?
Beehive_Homes Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
B. YOU select, with OUR approval, the location of YOUR Bee Hive Home. In determining whether to approve any particular site WE will consider things like: analysis of traffic patterns, both vehicular and pedestrian; proximity to grocery or retail stores; population, age and income demographics; and proximity to competing businesses. If YOU are unable to find a location that meets the requirements for a HOME in six months, YOUR franchise agreement will be terminated and any franchise fees paid will be refunded to YOU. Approval by US is not a representation or endorsement to YOU of successful operation of a franchise. WE do not own any premises for lease to franchisees.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, site approval by Beehive Homes does not guarantee a successful franchise operation. While Beehive Homes assists in selecting the location of the Beehive Homes franchise and considers factors such as traffic patterns, proximity to retail stores, demographics, and competition, this approval is not a representation or endorsement of future success.
This means that even if Beehive Homes approves a site based on its criteria, the franchisee is still responsible for the overall success of the business. Market conditions, management skills, and other factors beyond the site's characteristics can significantly impact the franchise's performance. The FDD also states that the franchisee is responsible for conforming the site to applicable ordinances, codes, and zoning regulations, further emphasizing the franchisee's role in ensuring the site is suitable for operation.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider this disclaimer and conduct their own due diligence to assess the potential of any location, even if it has been approved by Beehive Homes. This includes conducting independent market research, analyzing local competition, and evaluating the potential customer base. Understanding that site approval is not a guarantee of success is crucial for making an informed investment decision and mitigating potential risks.
