Am I, as a Beehive Homes franchisee, required to personally participate in the operation of the Beehive Homes franchise business?

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

YOU are not required by the terms of the Franchise Agreement to personally participate in the operation of the Bee Hive Home. The franchise business must be directly supervised "onsite" by YOU or a resident manager who has successfully completed the training program. The resident manager may or may not have an ownership interest in the franchise. YOU and YOUR resident manager are required to complete a training program conducted by US. YOU also agree to require each additional resident manager to be trained either by YOU or by US. Resident managers need not be approved by US.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, you are not required to personally participate in the operation of your Beehive Homes franchise. However, the franchise business must be directly supervised "onsite" either by you or by a resident manager.

Both you and your resident manager must successfully complete the training program provided by Beehive Homes. The resident manager does not need to have an ownership interest in the franchise. You are also responsible for ensuring that any additional resident managers are trained, either by you or by Beehive Homes.

It is important to note that while Beehive Homes requires that the business be directly supervised, they do not need to approve your resident managers. This provides flexibility in staffing but also places the responsibility on you to ensure that your chosen managers are adequately trained and capable of running the facility according to Beehive Homes' standards.
