What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beehive Homes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses not to renew their agreement as per section 5.2, the agreement will continue on a month-to-month basis. In this case, Beehive Homes can terminate the agreement by providing the franchisee with a written termination notice at least thirty (30) days before the termination date.

This means that if a franchisee decides not to renew their franchise agreement, it doesn't simply end on the expiration date. Instead, it transitions into a month-to-month arrangement. This provides a short-term operational flexibility for both parties. However, Beehive Homes retains the right to terminate this arrangement with only 30 days' notice.

For a prospective franchisee, this clause highlights the importance of carefully considering the renewal decision. While the franchisee has the option to continue operating on a month-to-month basis if they miss the renewal window, they also become subject to a relatively short termination notice from Beehive Homes. This could create uncertainty for the franchisee's business planning and operations.
