What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beef O Bradys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no minimum sales quota required to maintain either the Protected Territory granted under the standard Franchise Agreement or the larger Development Area granted under an Area Development Agreement. This means that Beef O Bradys does not require franchisees to meet a specific sales target to avoid losing their territory rights. However, for franchisees entering into an Area Development Agreement, a Minimum Development Quota is specified, outlining the number of Family Sports Pubs that must be opened within defined Development Periods.
While franchisees are not held to a sales quota, Beef O Bradys retains significant rights within both the Protected Territory and Development Area. They can establish Family Sports Pubs outside these areas, operate other businesses (excluding Family Sports Pubs within the Protected Territory), and market goods or services through alternative channels, potentially creating competition for franchisees. Additionally, Beef O Bradys can purchase or affiliate with competitive businesses, even within or adjacent to the franchisee's territory.
For Area Development Agreements, failure to meet the Minimum Development Quota can lead to termination of the agreement, operation of Family Sports Pubs by Beef O Bradys within the Development Area, an extension fee, or reduction of the Development Area. These stipulations highlight the importance of meeting development obligations, even though sales quotas are not imposed for maintaining a territory. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these factors and assess their ability to meet the development requirements before entering into an Area Development Agreement with Beef O Bradys.
