What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beef O Bradys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to submit construction plans and specifications for approval before starting construction of their Family Sports Pub. Franchisees must use a brand-certified architect to prepare initial prototype design plans, elevation drawings, specifications, decor, and layout, referred to as the Required Preliminary Plans. These plans include general layout plans, building elevations, and kitchen and bar plans, covering design, color scheme, image, interior, layout, operating assets, and a build-out schedule.
Beyond the Required Preliminary Plans, franchisees are responsible for having complete construction plans and specifications prepared, at their own expense, either by a Certified Architect or another architect, subject to Beef O Bradys's advance approval. These plans must suit the site's shape and dimensions and comply with applicable ordinances, building codes, permit requirements, and lease requirements and restrictions.
Beef O Bradys requires franchisees to submit these construction plans and specifications for approval before construction begins. Additionally, franchisees must submit any revised or "as built" plans and specifications during construction if requested by Beef O Bradys. Beef O Bradys may also assist in the development process by recommending contractors and suppliers and providing information to help franchisees develop the Family Sports Pub according to their specifications.
