What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beef O Bradys FDD, the Beef's Operator Training Program is a 3-week program that your operating partner and operating manager must complete approximately three to four months before the opening of your Family Sports Pub. To successfully complete the program, they must obtain a training certificate. The FDD specifies that all aspects of training are integrated, meaning there are no definitive starting and stopping times, but the program is accomplished consecutively over the 3-week period.

Beef O Bradys also recommends that after completing the Operator Training Program and a Pre-Opening Visit, your operating partner and operating manager participate in at least one new Family Sports Pub opening, which typically lasts 4 to 5 days. While there are no additional fees for this additional training, you are responsible for covering all travel, living, and compensation expenses incurred by you and your employees.

The training program includes both classroom and on-the-job training at a certified training location or the Home Office. The training covers various subjects, including grill station, expediter station, kitchen administration, front of the house operation, computer systems, accounting, advertising and promotion, sanitation and safety, food safety certification, and an overview of restaurant management. The hours of classroom and on-the-job training vary by subject.

Beef O Bradys expects the Operator Training Program to be conducted after the Franchise Agreement has been signed and while the Family Sports Pub is being developed. Although Beef O Bradys plans to be flexible in scheduling training classes, your operating partner and operating manager must be present for the class in its entirety and according to the schedule they mandate. If Beef O Bradys determines it is necessary, they may require your operating partner and operating manager to complete additional training to their satisfaction.
