What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beef O Bradys FDD, franchisees must comply with Anti-Terrorism Laws, which are explicitly defined in Section 19.20. These laws include Executive Order 13224 issued by the President of the United States and the USA PATRIOT Act. Additionally, the definition encompasses all other present and future federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, policies, lists, and any other requirements from governmental authorities that address or relate to terrorist acts and acts of war.

Beef O Bradys requires franchisees to assist them in complying with these Anti-Terrorism Laws to the fullest extent possible. Franchisees must certify, represent, and warrant that their property and interests are not subject to being "blocked" under any of these laws and that they are not in violation of any of them.

Importantly, any violation of Anti-Terrorism Laws by a Beef O Bradys franchisee or their employees, or any "blocking" of their assets under these laws, constitutes grounds for immediate termination of the Franchise Agreement and any other agreements with Beef O Bradys or its affiliates. This clause highlights the serious nature of compliance with these laws and the potential consequences of non-compliance for a franchisee.
