What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beef O Bradys FDD, if Beef O Bradys does not exercise its option to purchase the Family Sports Pub upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, the franchisee is responsible for de-identifying the restaurant at their own expense. This involves removing all branding and elements that identify it as a former Beef O Bradys location.

Specifically, the franchisee must remove all interior and exterior signage bearing the Beef O Bradys name or logo, including channel letter signage, pylon signage, interior signage, and window decals. They must also remove all furnishings and memorabilia bearing the Beef O Bradys name or logo, including pictures, jerseys, pennants, sporting good equipment, uniforms, and plaques. The franchisee is also required to remove the System graphics and receipt printouts including the Beef O Bradys name or logo and the POS System data base key and forwarding it to Beef O Bradys immediately upon closure of your Family Sports Pub.

Additionally, the franchisee must remove all private labeled food items, such as proprietary sauces, dressings, and chips, as well as food presentation items like green plastic baskets, green checkered paper, salad bowls, cups, plates, logo napkins, coasters, and retail merchandise bearing the Beef O Bradys name or logo. The interior of the restaurant must be repainted to change the color scheme from hunter green and gold. The franchisee must also reduce the number of TVs to no more than 5 units and remove any Beef O Bradys concepts or menu items, ensuring that at least 51% of the new menu has a different composition than any Beef O Bradys menu.

In summary, the franchisee bears the full financial responsibility for rebranding and removing all traces of the Beef O Bradys brand from the location if the franchise agreement is not renewed and Beef O Bradys does not purchase the location. This includes physical items, menu items, and overall aesthetic changes to prevent public confusion.
