What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beef O Bradys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the exclusive right to search for a site within the Site Selection Area during the Site Selection Period. The Site Selection Period is the time frame, up to 180 days from signing the Franchise Agreement, that the franchisee has to locate a suitable site for their Family Sports Pub. This period can be adjusted if agreed upon in the Development Agreement.
Within the first 45 days of the Site Selection Period (or as agreed in the Development Agreement), the franchisee must get Beef O Bradys's approval for one or more trade areas or street intersections where they want to locate their site. These approved locations are called the "Site Selection Area(s)." The exclusive right to search applies only within these approved Site Selection Areas.
This exclusive right gives the franchisee a defined territory to focus their search efforts without direct competition from other Beef O Bradys franchisees looking for a location. However, it's important to note that this exclusivity is limited to the Site Selection Area(s) approved by Beef O Bradys and only during the Site Selection Period. If a suitable site is not found and approved within this timeframe, Beef O Bradys has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement.
