What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beef O Bradys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beef O Bradys retains the right to establish Family Sports Pubs at special purpose sites, including airports. This means that even if a franchisee has a protected territory, Beef O Bradys can still open or franchise a location at an airport within that territory. This is explicitly stated as one of the rights that Beef O Bradys reserves.
This reservation of rights extends to other locations where access to the general public is limited, such as golf courses, school campuses, colleges, universities, train stations, casinos, stadiums, theme parks, and military bases. Beef O Bradys does not have to provide any compensation to the franchisee when exercising these rights.
For a potential franchisee, this means that while you may have a protected territory, Beef O Bradys can still establish locations in non-traditional venues within that territory, which could potentially compete with your business. It is important to consider this when evaluating the potential for competition and revenue within your protected territory. Franchisees should inquire about Beef O Bradys's plans for such special purpose sites in their target market.
