What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bee Organized's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain an initial and ongoing inventory of System Supplies. These System Supplies, as designated by Bee Organized, must be purchased from Bee Organized itself, its affiliates, and/or its designated suppliers. This requirement is part of a broader system where Bee Organized mandates the use of specific, authorized products, supplies, equipment, technology systems, and services to maintain quality and consistency across the franchise network.
Bee Organized estimates that purchases from approved suppliers, including exclusive suppliers, will constitute approximately 75% of the franchisee's total purchases and leases when establishing the franchise. Furthermore, these purchases will account for roughly 50% of the ongoing operating expenses of the franchised business. This indicates a significant reliance on approved suppliers for both initial setup and continued operation.
The FDD emphasizes that Bee Organized may receive rebates, payments, or other benefits from suppliers based on franchisee purchases. While the document states that no such revenue was received during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, it reserves the right to implement and expand rebate programs in the future. This arrangement is common in franchising, where franchisors may negotiate deals with suppliers to benefit from the collective purchasing power of their franchisees.
Prospective Bee Organized franchisees should carefully review the list of required System Supplies and approved suppliers in the manuals. It is also important to understand the potential impact of these requirements on their overall costs and profitability. Additionally, franchisees should inquire about any existing or planned rebate programs that could affect the franchisor's incentives in supplier selection.
