What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bee Organized's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bee Organized has the right to match any offer a franchisee receives to purchase their Bee Organized Business or the corporate entity operating the Bee Organized Business. This is referred to as the right of first refusal.
This right of first refusal means that if a franchisee receives a legitimate offer from a third party to buy their franchise, they must first present that offer to Bee Organized. Bee Organized then has the option to match the terms of the offer and purchase the franchise themselves. This clause is designed to give Bee Organized control over who enters the system and to protect the brand.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that selling their Bee Organized franchise may involve an extra step. While they are free to find a buyer, Bee Organized has the ultimate say in who the franchise is sold to. If Bee Organized exercises its right of first refusal, the franchisee will be required to sell the business to Bee Organized instead of their prospective buyer. If Bee Organized waives this right, the franchisee can proceed with their sale to the third party, assuming all other transfer requirements are met.
