What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bee Organized's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have specific obligations regarding confidential information, both during the term of the Franchise Agreement and after its expiration or termination. Franchisees must refrain from using the confidential information in any business other than their Bee Organized franchise. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information at all times and prevent unauthorized copies of documents containing confidential details.
Bee Organized franchisees must take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential information, as directed by the franchisor. Upon termination or transfer of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must immediately cease using the confidential information. These obligations extend not only to the franchisee but also to their owners, spouses, directors, officers, employees, and agents, particularly if disclosure of confidential information was necessary for the franchise's operations. In such cases, these individuals must have previously signed and delivered a confidentiality agreement.
Furthermore, franchisees are obligated to notify Bee Organized immediately of any known or suspected breaches of the Confidentiality Agreement. They must also take reasonable steps, including consulting legal counsel, to prevent any person or entity from violating the terms of the Confidentiality Agreement or publicly disseminating confidential information. This includes client lists, business management data, and the contents of the Operations Manual, all of which are considered assets of Bee Organized.
