What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bee Organized's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Licensed Marks' are defined as the trademarks, service marks, emblems, and indicia of origin used to identify Bee Organized businesses and their approved services and products. These marks include the "Bee Organized" trademark, the Bee Organized logo, trade dress, and other trade names, service marks, trademarks, logos, slogans, and designs authorized by the franchisor. However, Bee Organized retains the right to modify, replace, or discontinue these marks at its discretion based on its reasonable business judgment.
For a Bee Organized franchisee, understanding the scope and limitations of the Licensed Marks is crucial. While franchisees are granted the right to use these marks to operate their business, they must also recognize that Bee Organized maintains control over them. This means that the franchisor can change the branding, logos, or other identifying marks associated with the franchise, and franchisees must adapt to these changes.
In the event of termination, a franchisee must take actions to cancel all assumed names relating to the Licensed Marks. They must also transfer all telephone numbers, email addresses, and web-based media listings associated with the Licensed Marks to Bee Organized. This ensures that the franchisee no longer uses the brand's identity after the franchise agreement ends and that all related assets revert to the franchisor. This is a standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's integrity and prevent confusion among customers.
