What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bee Organized's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an 'Open Area' is defined as a geographic location that meets two specific criteria. First, it must not be an 'Assigned Area,' meaning it is not within the operating territory of another Bee Organized franchise. Second, the 'Open Area' must be located within a 15-mile radius of the franchisee's own 'Operating Territory.'
Bee Organized franchisees are generally restricted from directly soliciting clients or providing services outside their designated 'Operating Territory.' However, under certain conditions, a franchisee may provide approved services and products to clients within an 'Open Area.' This is permitted as long as the franchisee does not engage in direct solicitation of clients in that area or within another franchisee's territory, and provided they obtain written approval from Bee Organized.
It's important to note that Bee Organized retains the right to designate an 'Open Area' as an 'Assigned Area' at any time. Should this occur, the franchisee is no longer authorized to provide services in that area and must turn over all client information and records related to that area to Bee Organized for the benefit of another franchisee. This means that while a franchisee may temporarily benefit from serving clients in an 'Open Area,' this right is not guaranteed and can be revoked by Bee Organized.
