What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beauty Bungalows's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beauty Bungalows retains the right to revoke approval of any vendor previously approved if their performance falls below the company's standards. Beauty Bungalows will base decisions regarding vendor approval or revocation on factors such as the vendor's creditworthiness, delivery standards, and cost. These decisions will be made in writing and incorporated into the Beauty Bungalows Manual.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that while they may have some flexibility in choosing vendors, Beauty Bungalows ultimately controls which vendors are acceptable. If a vendor's performance falters after initial approval, Beauty Bungalows can mandate a switch to an alternative supplier. This protects the Beauty Bungalows brand by ensuring consistent quality and service but could also limit a franchisee's options or potentially increase their costs if a previously favored vendor is disapproved.

It is common practice in franchising for franchisors to maintain control over the supply chain to ensure brand consistency and quality control. Franchisees should carefully review the Beauty Bungalows Manual to understand the specific standards and expectations for vendors. Franchisees should also inquire about the process for appealing a vendor disapproval decision and whether there are any mechanisms for franchisees to provide input on vendor performance.
