What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, several conditions must be met to transfer a franchise to a third party. The franchisee must satisfy the requirements outlined in Sections 14.07 and 14.09 of the franchise agreement and provide Beauty Bungalows with a copy of the signed purchase agreement, related documents, and proof of payment. The proposed transferee must also execute Beauty Bungalows' then-current franchise agreement.
Additionally, the transferee is generally required to pay for, attend, and satisfactorily complete the training program for new franchisees. However, this requirement is waived if the transferee is an existing franchisee in good standing within the Beauty Bungalows system or has been a manager of a franchise in good standing for at least one year.
These stipulations ensure that any new franchisee meets Beauty Bungalows' standards and is adequately trained to operate the franchise, while also protecting Beauty Bungalows' interests by ensuring compliance with the current franchise agreement and operational standards. The Lead Fee, which compensates Beauty Bungalows for the potential lost opportunity of granting a new franchise, may also apply unless the transferee is an existing franchisee.
