What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, information regarding site selection assistance is found on page 22. Item 11 details the franchisor's pre-opening obligations, including designating the franchisee's protected territory and approving the location selected by the franchisee. If the site is not already known and approved, Beauty Bungalows will specify a Site Selection Area in the franchise agreement.
Beauty Bungalows will provide advice about selecting and analyzing a site, considering factors such as population density, traffic patterns, and proximity to other Beauty Bungalows locations. While site selection is ultimately the franchisee's responsibility, Beauty Bungalows will assist in the process. The franchisee must secure an approved site by signing a lease or purchase agreement within 90 days of the franchise agreement, although Beauty Bungalows may extend this deadline by 90 days for a $2,500 extension fee and a general release.
Beauty Bungalows will approve or disapprove a proposed site within 30 days of receiving notice from the franchisee. For franchisees entering into an Area Development Agreement (ADA), Beauty Bungalows will designate an exclusive Development Area and provide site selection assistance for each franchised location developed under the ADA. Additionally, Beauty Bungalows may offer advice on negotiating the lease or purchase of a location, although they do not act as a direct representative or attorney in these negotiations.
