What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Release shall be governed, construed, and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of the state where Beauty Bungalows' principal place of business is located. This means that any legal disputes related to the Release will be subject to the laws of that specific state, regardless of where the franchisee is located.

For a prospective Beauty Bungalows franchisee, this is important because the laws governing the Release can vary significantly from state to state. Franchisees should familiarize themselves with the laws of the state where Beauty Bungalows' principal place of business is located to understand their rights and obligations under the Release. This may involve consulting with an attorney who is familiar with franchise law in that particular state.

It is also important to note that the Release does not apply to claims arising under the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act, RCW 19.100, and the rules adopted thereunder. This means that franchisees in Washington State have additional protections under Washington law, regardless of the governing law of the Release. Franchisees should carefully review the Release and consult with an attorney to understand the full scope of their rights and obligations.
