Is the initial training program tuition-free for a Beauty Bungalows franchise?

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Travel and Living Expenses to Training: We provide the initial training program tuition-free for up to three (3) of your representatives in an online format.

However, if you request and we agree to provide you training in person, you are required to pay the expenses that you will incur for travel, food, and lodging during the initial training program.

The costs you incur will vary depending upon factors such as distance traveled, mode of transportation, travel preferences (such as air travel or ground transportation), nature of accommodations, per diem expenses actually incurred, and the number of persons who attend training.

The low end of this estimate assumes your representatives will be attending initial training online and will not need to travel to attend training, while the high end assumes that a total of three (3) individuals will attend the initial training and will be required to purchase a flight to/from that training in order to attend.

The actual cost will depend on your point of origin, method of travel, class of accommodations, and dining choices.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beauty Bungalows's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is tuition-free for up to three representatives, provided it is conducted online. However, this benefit is contingent on the training being delivered in an online format.

If a Beauty Bungalows franchisee requests in-person training, and the franchisor agrees to provide it, the franchisee is responsible for covering all associated expenses. These expenses include travel, food, and lodging for the attendees. The FDD estimates these travel and living expenses to training can range from $0 to $3,000, depending on whether the training is online or in person.

The cost can vary significantly based on factors such as the distance traveled, mode of transportation (air or ground), travel preferences, the nature of accommodations, per diem expenses, and the number of individuals attending the training. The lower end of the estimate assumes online attendance, eliminating travel costs, while the higher end assumes that three individuals will need to purchase flights to attend in person. Therefore, while the tuition itself is free for online training, franchisees should be prepared to budget for potential travel and living expenses if they opt for or require in-person training.
