What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beauty Bungalows's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is generally not refundable. The FDD states that the initial franchise fee is $49,900. Beauty Bungalows explicitly states that it will not refund the initial franchise fee or any other fees paid to them or their affiliates under any circumstances.

This policy means that a prospective Beauty Bungalows franchisee should be certain about their decision before paying the initial franchise fee, as this is a non-recoverable cost. It is important to carefully review the Franchise Agreement and conduct thorough due diligence before committing to the franchise.

The non-refundable nature of the initial franchise fee is a fairly common practice in the franchise industry, as it covers the franchisor's administrative and training costs associated with onboarding a new franchisee. However, some franchises may offer partial refunds under specific conditions, so Beauty Bungalows's policy is stricter than some.

For those considering an Area Development Agreement (ADA), the development fee is also non-refundable. This fee varies depending on the number of Beauty Bungalows franchises the developer commits to open, with the low estimate based on two franchises and the high estimate based on ten franchises. While the development fee is credited towards the initial franchise fee for each location developed under the ADA, it is not refundable if the franchisee fails to develop the agreed-upon number of locations.
