Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You may develop marketing materials for your own use, at your own cost. We must approve the marketing materials in advance and in writing within fifteen days from receipt. We reserve the right to utilize marketing and photography/videography developed by you for the use of all Franchisees without any payment or other compensation to you. (See Section 9.02 of the Franchise Agreement).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you develop marketing materials, Beauty Bungalows reserves the right to use them for all franchisees without providing any payment or compensation to you.

This means that as a Beauty Bungalows franchisee, you bear the cost of developing your own marketing materials, and the franchisor can then use those materials for the benefit of the entire franchise system without compensating you. While you have the option to create your own marketing materials, Beauty Bungalows retains the right to utilize any marketing and photography/videography you develop for all franchisees.

This policy could impact a franchisee who invests significant resources in creating unique and effective marketing campaigns. It is important to consider that while you bear the initial cost, the benefit of your work could extend to the entire Beauty Bungalows system without direct financial return to you.

Prospective franchisees should consider the implications of this policy on their marketing budget and strategy. It may be prudent to discuss with existing franchisees how often the franchisor utilizes franchisee-developed materials and the potential benefits and drawbacks of this arrangement.
