What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain the confidentiality of Beauty Bungalows' proprietary information. The agreement specifies that franchisees must hold all Confidential Information in strict confidence, as it involves trade secrets of the company. This information is disclosed to the franchisee solely on the condition that they agree to keep it confidential.
An exception to this requirement exists if Beauty Bungalows provides written consent allowing the franchisee to disclose or use the Confidential Information. Additionally, the franchisee is not obligated to maintain the confidentiality of information that has become generally known or easily accessible through means other than a breach of the Franchise Agreement.
This means that a Beauty Bungalows franchisee is bound by strict confidentiality unless they receive explicit written permission from Beauty Bungalows to disclose the information, or unless the information enters the public domain through no fault of their own. This is a fairly standard clause in franchise agreements to protect the franchisor's business methods and trade secrets.
