What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beauty Bungalows's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are significantly restricted in their ability to independently market on the internet. The FDD states that the internet is a distribution channel exclusively reserved for Beauty Bungalows. Franchisees are prohibited from independently marketing or conducting e-commerce activities online. This means that franchisees cannot create their own websites or engage in online sales without explicit permission from Beauty Bungalows.

Specifically, a Beauty Bungalows franchisee cannot register domain names containing the brand's marks or participate in any website or electronic media marketing using those marks unless they first obtain written approval from Beauty Bungalows. Even with approval, the franchisee's online conduct, including the use of marks and advertising, remains subject to the terms of the franchise agreement and any policies set by Beauty Bungalows. This ensures that all online marketing efforts align with the brand's overall strategy and standards.

This policy has important implications for prospective franchisees. While Beauty Bungalows controls the online presence and e-commerce, franchisees need to be aware that they cannot independently leverage the internet to promote their specific location or services without prior consent. Franchisees should discuss with Beauty Bungalows what support or opportunities are available for local online marketing and how they can participate in the brand's broader digital strategy. Understanding these limitations and opportunities is crucial for franchisees to effectively market their business within the framework established by Beauty Bungalows.
