What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, using or duplicating the brand's Confidential Information, either partially or entirely, for any purpose outside of the Beauty Bungalows system is considered an unfair method of competition. The Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to, the operations manual, training materials, marketing methods, trade secrets, customer lists, contracts, proprietary software, techniques, methods, and know-how related to the operation of the franchised business.
This means that a franchisee is only permitted to use the Confidential Information to operate their Beauty Bungalows franchise during the term of their agreement. Any unauthorized use or reproduction of this information could lead to legal action from Beauty Bungalows. This restriction remains in place even after the franchise agreement terminates.
For a prospective Beauty Bungalows franchisee, this underscores the importance of protecting the brand's Confidential Information. Franchisees must ensure that they and their employees understand the scope of the Confidential Information and the restrictions on its use. This includes safeguarding manuals, training materials, customer data, and any other proprietary information provided by Beauty Bungalows. Franchisees should also be aware of the potential legal and financial consequences of violating these confidentiality provisions.
