What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beauty Bungalows' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering travel and living expenses when attending any additional training or conferences. Beauty Bungalows may charge a fee for attending these events to cover the direct costs of speakers and other associated expenses.
Beauty Bungalows may hold periodic regional or national conferences to discuss industry changes, operational techniques, studio rental developments, training, bookkeeping, accounting, advertising programs, and new service procedures. The FDD states that Beauty Bungalows may require franchisees to attend these conferences and pay a conference attendance fee, which is currently $500 per attendee, regardless of whether the franchisee attends. In addition to the conference fee, franchisees must cover all travel and living expenses for themselves and any employees who attend. Beauty Bungalows estimates these travel and living expenses to be between $1,500 and $3,000.
While Beauty Bungalows also offers continuing advanced training via telephone, video conference, email, or online learning management systems for which they do not charge a fee, the in-person conferences will require franchisees to budget for both the attendance fee and all associated travel and accommodation costs.
