According to Beard Papas's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beard Papas may require franchisees and their Operating Managers to participate in supplemental on-site training, which they may designate at their discretion. This means that Beard Papas retains the right to mandate additional training beyond the initial program if they deem it necessary for the successful operation of the franchise.
The franchisee is responsible for covering the costs associated with this supplemental training. These costs include a supplemental training fee, which is currently $800 per on-site trainer per day. Additionally, the franchisee must pay for the travel expenses, meals, and accommodation expenses incurred by Beard Papas for the trainer.
Furthermore, if a franchisee needs to replace their Operating Manager, the replacement manager must complete Beard Papas's initial training program to their satisfaction. The franchisee will be required to pay the current supplemental training fee for the replacement Operating Manager, which is currently $5,000 each time Beard Papas conducts replacement manager training at the Shop Location. The franchisee is also responsible for all costs incurred by their managers in attending the initial training.
