- (3) Franchisee shall pay all costs and expenses incurred by Franchisee, and those attending training on behalf of Franchisee, in connection with Franchisee's participation in all Training Programs and satisfaction of Franchisee's Training Program obligations as designated by Franchisor.
- (4) Subject to Franchisor's approval and agreement, Franchisor may offer supplemental training to Franchisee at Franchisee's Shop Location or as elected by Franchisor, remotely through online web based conferencing (hereinafter referred to as "Supplemental Training"). Franchisor, in Franchisor's Reasonable Business Judgment, reserves the right to reject or approve of any request by Franchisee for Supplemental Training. According to Beard Papas's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to undergo supplemental training under certain circumstances. If Beard Papas agrees to offer supplemental training, the franchisee must pay a supplemental training fee. This fee is $800 per trainer per day, with a minimum charge for two days.
This supplemental training may occur at the franchisee's shop location or remotely via online web-based conferencing, as determined by Beard Papas. The franchisor reserves the right to approve or reject any request for supplemental training. Beard Papas may require this training if a new Operating Manager is hired or if the franchisor determines that the franchisee is not meeting operational standards.
In addition to the per-day trainer fee, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Beard Papas for travel and hotel accommodation expenses incurred by the trainer, if applicable. The supplemental training fees must be prepaid upon submission of an invoice from Beard Papas.
