h trainer's satisfactory completion of our initial training program. In addition to initial
training, you will also be required to participate in and satisfy all other training programs that we may designate respecting the Franchised Business. (Franchise Agreement, Articles 4 and 7.J.).
After the opening of your Shop, we reserve the right to require that you (or your Managing Owner if you are a Corporate Entity) attend a system-wide training program (the "System-Wide Training Program") that we may establish in our discretion. If we establish a System-Wide Training Program, the program will be offered from our affiliate owned Shop in Los Angeles, California, San Francisco, California, or New York, New York and you will be responsible for all travel and expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses, and employee wages that you incur in connection with your attendance. We will not require your attendance at a System-Wide Training Program for more than a total of five days in any calendar year.
ITEM 12 TERRITORY
Your Location
Under the Franchise Agreement, we will grant to you the right to develop and operate one Shop at a specific Shop Location. If the location is not known at the time you sign a Franchise Agreement, then your Shop location must be secured by you but subject to our approval.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beard Papas Franchise Disclosure Document, Articles 4 and 7.J. of the Franchise Agreement address training programs. In addition to initial training, franchisees must participate in and satisfy all other training programs that Beard Papas may designate for the Franchised Business.
Beard Papas also reserves the right to require franchisees (or their Managing Owner if the franchisee is a Corporate Entity) to attend a system-wide training program after the shop opens. This System-Wide Training Program, if established, will be offered from an affiliate-owned shop in Los Angeles, California, San Francisco, California, or New York, New York. Franchisees are responsible for all travel and expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses, and employee wages incurred in connection with their attendance.
Beard Papas will not require attendance at a System-Wide Training Program for more than a total of five days in any calendar year. Instructional materials used in the initial training process include manuals, live instruction, and handouts. The Corporate Trainer, Aya Amada, has been involved with Beard Papa's as a Corporate Trainer and Store Manager since 2018. Trainers must have satisfactorily completed the initial training program.
