What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beard Papas's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their shop from a location that complies with state and local laws. This requirement applies to both Stand-Alone Shops and Kiosk Shops.
This stipulation means that prospective Beard Papas franchisees need to ensure that their chosen location meets all legal requirements before commencing operations. This includes zoning laws, building codes, health regulations, and any other applicable state and local ordinances. Failing to comply with these laws can result in fines, penalties, or even the closure of the business.
Beard Papas also requires that the shop location is approved by them. This suggests that Beard Papas will likely assess the location for suitability and compliance before granting final approval. Franchisees should factor in the time and cost associated with ensuring compliance and obtaining the necessary approvals from both Beard Papas and local authorities.
