What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beard Papas's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the POS (Point of Sale) system fee is determined by the current monthly license fee to access the designated POS systems, which is currently Clover. This fee is a recurring monthly expense, as detailed in Item 6 regarding other fees. The amount varies under the circumstances and is invoiced monthly, payable either to Beard Papas or a designated supplier.
Prospective franchisees should note that the POS system fee covers only the license to use the system. It does not include additional costs such as credit card processing fees or integrations for online ordering, customer rewards programs, and gift cards. These additional services may incur separate fees, which franchisees will need to budget for.
It is important for potential Beard Papas franchisees to understand the full scope of costs associated with the POS system, including the base license fee and any potential add-on services. Franchisees should clarify with Beard Papas what the typical monthly POS system costs are and which additional services are necessary or recommended for their specific location to accurately forecast their operating expenses.
