What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beard Papas Franchise Disclosure Document, the Operating Manager must agree, in writing, to assume responsibility for the on-site management and supervision of the Franchised Business. The Operating Manager is designated by the franchisee or the franchisee's Managing Owner and is responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the Beard Papas shop facility.
In addition to the written agreement to assume responsibility for on-site management, the Operating Manager must also meet all of Beard Papas' minimum training and brand quality control standards and criteria for managers as outlined in the Operations Manual. They must also successfully complete Beard Papas' initial training program and sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
If the Operating Manager is a family member of the franchisee or an owner, they must also sign and agree to be bound by the terms of the Owner and Spouse Agreement and Guaranty. These requirements ensure that anyone managing a Beard Papas location is properly trained, committed to maintaining brand standards, and legally bound to protect confidential information and uphold the obligations of the franchise agreement.
