What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beard Papas Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is paid directly to Beard Papas. For both a stand-alone shop and a kiosk shop, the initial franchise fee is $45,000. This fee is non-refundable, and Beard Papas does not offer financing for any portion of the initial fees.
For franchisees considering a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, the terms of the initial franchise fee change. If the agreement authorizes the development of three to four shops, the initial franchise fee is discounted to $33,200 for each additional shop beyond the first. For agreements authorizing five to ten shops, the initial franchise fee is further discounted to $29,900 for each additional shop beyond the first.
It is important to note that these fees are specifically for the right to develop and operate a Beard Papas franchise. Other fees, such as the Development Area Fee under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, are separate and paid in addition to the initial franchise fee. Prospective franchisees should carefully review Item 7 of the FDD and consult with professional advisors to fully understand all the costs associated with opening a Beard Papas franchise.
