What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beard Papas's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering employee wages during initial training. Specifically, if this is the franchisee's first shop, Beard Papas will provide initial training for the franchisee, or the Managing Owner if the franchisee is a Corporate Entity, plus two designated managers.

The initial training program is required to be successfully attended and completed no later than one week before the shop opens and takes place over approximately five days. If more than three individuals attend initial training, the franchisee will be charged an additional fee.

Therefore, a prospective Beard Papas franchisee needs to factor in the cost of employee wages during the initial training period, in addition to any potential fees for additional attendees beyond the initial three, as these are the franchisee's responsibility.
