What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beard Papas Franchise Disclosure Document, a Multi-Unit Development Agreement is included. Item 22 lists the contracts attached to the Disclosure Document, which includes exhibits to the Franchise Agreement.
Specifically, Exhibit F is the Multi-Unit Development Agreement. This agreement is separate from the standard Franchise Agreement (Exhibit E). A Multi-Unit Development Agreement allows a franchisee to develop multiple Beard Papas locations within a specific territory under a predetermined schedule.
Schedule A to the Multi-Unit Development Agreement is the Development Information Sheet. The FDD also notes that individual state laws might supersede provisions in the Franchise Agreement and the Multi-Unit Development Agreement, particularly regarding the requirement to execute a general release as a condition for assignment, sale, or transfer. Franchisees should refer to the state-specific addenda in Exhibit I for further details.
