What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bb.Q Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement can be terminated under specific circumstances. One such instance is related to quality assurance. If a franchisee fails to correct deficiencies within a reasonable time frame, as determined by Bb.Q Chicken, after receiving a second quality assurance violation notice, Bb.Q Chicken has the right to terminate the agreement.

Another cause for termination involves maintaining operational standards and technological requirements. Franchisees are required to maintain a competent and trained staff, ensuring good customer relations and compliance with any prescribed dress code. They must also install and maintain specified equipment and telecommunications lines to allow Bb.Q Chicken to access and retrieve information from the point-of-sale system. Failure to maintain this equipment and communication methods in operation and accessible to Bb.Q Chicken constitutes a material default, leading to potential termination.

Furthermore, the franchise agreement can be terminated if the franchisee dies or becomes permanently disabled and fails to transfer the franchise within six months to a Bb.Q Chicken-approved third party. This transfer is subject to the same terms and conditions as any other transfer during the franchisee's lifetime. If the transfer does not occur within the specified timeframe, it constitutes a material default, resulting in the termination of the agreement.
