What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bb.Q Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, Bb.Q Chicken retains the right to mandate that franchisees use an architect or designer that they designate. This stipulation is in relation to the building and furnishing of the restaurant.
This means that as a prospective franchisee, you might not be able to choose your own architect or designer for the construction of your Bb.Q Chicken restaurant. Bb.Q Chicken's control over this aspect of the build-out process ensures that all locations adhere to their brand standards and specifications. While this might limit your options, it also means that you'll be working with professionals familiar with Bb.Q Chicken's requirements, potentially streamlining the construction process.
It is important to note that franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with preparing site plans and build-out plans, regardless of whether they use Bb.Q Chicken's designated architect/designer or one they select themselves (if permitted). This should be factored into the overall investment costs when considering a Bb.Q Chicken franchise.
