What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bb.Q Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the qualifications for the General Manager of a franchise are outlined in the manuals or in writing from Bb.Q Chicken. The General Manager must meet the educational and business experience criteria set by Bb.Q Chicken. They are required to dedicate their full time and efforts to supervising and managing the franchised business.
The General Manager must be an individual that Bb.Q Chicken finds acceptable. Additionally, the General Manager needs to fulfill the training requirements specified in Section 6.4 of the franchise agreement. If the General Manager can no longer serve or doesn't qualify, the franchisee must inform Bb.Q Chicken promptly and designate a qualified replacement within 60 days, ensuring the replacement meets the same qualifications and training standards.
Failure to comply with these requirements for the General Manager is considered a material breach of the franchise agreement, potentially leading to default. In addition to the General Manager, the franchisee (if an individual) or a principal with at least a 5% ownership stake must also be an operating partner, actively participating in the daily operations of the Bb.Q Chicken franchise on a full-time basis. The franchisee is also responsible for hiring other necessary personnel to effectively operate and manage the business.
