What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bb.Q Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, the proprietary marks include certain trade names, service marks, trademarks, logos, emblems, and indicia of origin. Specifically, the mark "bb.q Chicken" is included, along with other trade names, service marks, and trademarks designated by Bb.Q Chicken for use with the System.
Bb.Q Chicken retains the right to modify these marks. The franchisee's use of the marks is limited to operating and advertising the franchised business under the name "bb.q Chicken" unless otherwise authorized or required by Bb.Q Chicken. The franchisee cannot use the marks, or any variations thereof, as part of their corporate or legal name without prior approval from Bb.Q Chicken.
The franchisee must identify themselves as the independent owner of the franchised business when using the marks on items such as invoices, order forms, receipts, and contracts. They must also display a notice of independent ownership at conspicuous locations on the premises or any delivery vehicles, as designated by Bb.Q Chicken in writing. The franchisee is prohibited from using the marks to incur any obligation or indebtedness on behalf of Bb.Q Chicken.
Upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee must immediately cease using the "bb.q Chicken" mark and all other marks associated with the System. They must also cancel any assumed name registrations containing the "bb.q Chicken" mark or any other service mark or trademark of Bb.Q Chicken. Furthermore, the franchisee agrees not to use any similar marks that could cause confusion or dilute Bb.Q Chicken's rights to the marks if they continue to operate another business.
