If Bb.Q Chicken objects to my architectural plans, what information will they provide?
Bb_Q_Chicken Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must obtain any architectural, engineering and design services you deem necessary for the construction of the Franchised Business at your own expense from an architectural design firm approved by us, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. You shall adapt the prototypical architectural and design plans and specifications for constructing or equipping the Franchised Business provided to you by us in accordance with Section 5.3 as necessary and shall submit such adapted plans to us for our review. If we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that any such plans are not consistent with the best interests of the System, we may prohibit the implementation of such plans, and in this event will notify you of any objection(s) within fourteen (14) business days of receiving such plans. If we fail to notify you of an objection to the plans within this time period, you may use such plans. If we object to any such plans, we shall provide you with a reasonably detailed list of changes necessary to make the plans acceptable. We shall, upon a re-submission of the plans with such changes, notify you within fourteen (14) business days of receiving the resubmitted plans whether the plans are acceptable. If we fail to notify you in writing of any objection within such time period, you may use the resubmitted plans. You acknowledge that our review of such plans relates only to compliance with the System and that acceptance by us of such plans does not constitute a representation, warranty, or guarantee, express or implied, by us that such plans are accurate or free of error concerning their design or structural application.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bb.Q Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Bb.Q Chicken determines that a franchisee's architectural plans are not in the best interest of the Bb.Q Chicken system, they will notify the franchisee of their objections within 14 business days of receiving the plans. If Bb.Q Chicken fails to notify the franchisee of an objection within that timeframe, the franchisee is permitted to use the plans.
Should Bb.Q Chicken object to the plans, they will provide a reasonably detailed list of changes necessary to make the plans acceptable. Upon resubmission of the plans with the required changes, Bb.Q Chicken will then notify the franchisee within 14 business days of receiving the resubmitted plans whether they are acceptable. If Bb.Q Chicken fails to notify the franchisee in writing of any objection within the 14-day period, the franchisee may use the resubmitted plans.
The FDD clarifies that Bb.Q Chicken's review of the plans relates only to compliance with the Bb.Q Chicken system standards. Acceptance of the plans does not constitute a representation, warranty, or guarantee that the plans are accurate, free of error concerning their design, or structurally sound.
