What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bb.Q Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must locate a site that meets Bb.Q Chicken's site evaluation guidelines within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees must submit a description of the site and evidence that it meets Bb.Q Chicken's guidelines. Bb.Q Chicken has 30 days to approve or disapprove the proposed site in its sole discretion. Bb.Q Chicken's acceptance of a location signifies only that the location has met their minimum criteria and is not a guarantee of success or profitability.
Within 90 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must provide Bb.Q Chicken with a copy of the signed lease for their restaurant location. Failure to do so may result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement. This indicates that Bb.Q Chicken requires a copy of the lease for their records and to ensure compliance with the approved site.
While Bb.Q Chicken maintains approval over the site selection, the FDD does not explicitly state that the lease agreement itself is subject to Bb.Q Chicken's approval. However, Attachment 2 to the Franchise Agreement is a Collateral Assignment of Lease, suggesting that Bb.Q Chicken may require assignment of the lease as collateral.
