What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bb.Q Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the brand's system standards when using social media for their franchised business. This includes specific prohibitions on franchisees and their employees posting or blogging comments about the Bb.Q Chicken business or the overall system on any platform not established or authorized by the franchisor. The term "social media" is broadly defined to include personal blogs, common and professional social networks, live-blogging tools, virtual worlds, and file, audio, and video-sharing sites.

Bb.Q Chicken requires franchisees to provide all passwords and administrative rights to any social media accounts used for the franchised business. Franchisees appoint Bb.Q Chicken as their agent and attorney-in-fact, granting them the authority to take necessary actions if the franchisee fails to maintain the accounts according to the franchisor's standards. This ensures that Bb.Q Chicken can maintain brand consistency and manage online reputation effectively.

Bb.Q Chicken will provide access to branded social media pages, handles, and assets, which franchisees are required to update regularly. The franchisor also reserves the right to conduct collective or national campaigns via local social media on behalf of the franchisee. This level of control allows Bb.Q Chicken to ensure a unified brand message and manage marketing efforts across all franchise locations, while franchisees are expected to maintain and update the provided social media presence.
