What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bb.Q Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for maintaining their Franchised Business to a high standard. This includes keeping the premises in good sanitation, repair, and overall condition. Franchisees must make necessary additions, alterations, repairs, and replacements to the business, but they need prior written consent from Bb.Q Chicken for any changes beyond basic maintenance.
Bb.Q Chicken can direct franchisees to undertake specific actions to maintain system-wide integrity and uniformity. This includes periodic repainting or replacing obsolete signs, furnishings, and equipment such as point-of-sale systems, computer hardware and software, and décor. Franchisees are also responsible for obtaining any new or additional equipment, fixtures, supplies, and other materials that Bb.Q Chicken reasonably requires to offer new menu items or alternative services like catering, carry-out, or delivery.
Franchisees cannot make material alterations, improvements, or changes to the design, equipment, signs, or interior/exterior décor without first getting written approval from Bb.Q Chicken. However, Bb.Q Chicken will not unreasonably withhold this approval. This ensures that while franchisees must maintain and update their locations, all significant changes align with the brand's overall image and standards.
