What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 Bb.Q Chicken FDD mentions a "Development Fee" in the context of a Multi-Unit Operator Agreement. This agreement grants the operator certain development rights to establish and operate Bb.Q Chicken franchises within a specific Development Area.

The FDD states that the Development Rights allow the multi-unit operator to establish and operate Bb.Q Chicken franchises, using the Bb.Q Chicken system, at specific locations within the Development Area. These locations are designated in separate Franchise Agreements. The number of outlets and the schedule for opening them are detailed in Attachment 1 of the Multi-Unit Operator Agreement, referred to as the "Minimum Performance Schedule." Each franchised business developed under this agreement must be located within the Development Area, as described in Attachment 2 of the agreement.

Bb.Q Chicken will not establish or franchise anyone other than the multi-unit operator to establish a franchised business in the Development Area during the agreement's term, provided the operator is not in default. The agreement clarifies that it is not a Franchise Agreement itself and does not grant the right to use Bb.Q Chicken's marks or system directly. The multi-unit operator also does not have the right to sub-franchise to others under this agreement.
