What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bb.Q Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, upon the expiration or termination of the franchise agreement, Bb.Q Chicken has the authority to obtain the franchisee's rights to the telephone numbers of the franchised business, related telephone directory listings, and other business listings. Bb.Q Chicken can also obtain all Internet listings, domain names, Internet advertising, websites, listings with search engines, electronic mail addresses, social media accounts, and any other similar listing or usages related to the franchised business.
To facilitate this transfer, Bb.Q Chicken requires franchisees to sign forms, including the Internet Advertising, Social Media, Software, and Telephone Listing Agreement. This agreement appoints Bb.Q Chicken as the franchisee's attorney-in-fact, granting them the power to assign the franchisee's telephone numbers, listings, passwords, and administrator rights for all email and social media accounts used or created by the franchisee.
This means that when a Bb.Q Chicken franchise agreement ends, the franchisee must transfer control of all online and telephone assets associated with the business to Bb.Q Chicken. This includes not only phone numbers and email addresses but also websites, social media accounts, and online listings. The franchisee loses all rights to these assets and cannot use them for any other business venture after the franchise agreement terminates.
